iCage Mini Downlights - Compact without compromise
With the ‘Cool Cage’ concept of the iCage range, Ansell Lighting introduced a breakthrough in fire rated downlights. The iCage series solve the problem of cost-effectively maintaining adequate fire rating in plasterboard ceilings.
Overheating is the number one cause of lamp failure. Compared to traditional ’can’ type fire rated downlights, the revolutionary ‘Cool Cage’ open rated construction produces lower levels of heat upwards and allows the lamp to ventilate. Joist temperatures remain low, ensuring that the lamp achieves its full life expectancy of 25,000 to 40,000 hours.
The iCage Mini Downlights are a more compact, miniature version of the market leading Ansell standard iCage. With an overall height of 89mm (gimbal) to 100mm (IP65) they now only house perfect fit LEDs that have heights of around 55mm and are perfect for use with reduced ceiling voids.
Although the mini iCage is smaller in size, it still exceeds all required standards.
GU10 lamp holder and spring clips are included in the package, making instalment very easy, at the same time avoiding damage to the ceiling and providing secure and stable positioning.
The iCage Mini Downlights are available in fixed, adjustable and IP65 (waterproof) versions, the fixed position version being the most popular and cheapest type of iCage downlight. All models can be delivered in the widest range of finishes from white to black chrome.
